| Our Sales Policies Please contact us by phone or email on the pricing and availability of a certain horse. Prices are subject to change without notice. Please call or e-mail to set up an appointment to view a horse. We have other obligations and may not be readily available at just any time. Evenings and weekends are the best time to set up an appointment. Your trainer or other experienced horse person is always welcome to come. But please leave your dog at home. We get in a variety of horses, so please specify what you are looking for and what level rider you are so we can make the best match for you. If you feel more comfortable to bring your own saddle you are welcome to do so, and I highly recommend it. Please also bring a helmet if you are under 18. All riders are required to sign a release of liability at the farm. Please do not ask if a horse "never spooks." Horses respond to situations differently. We can tell you if a horse is generally more spooky than others, but we will not advertise a completely bombproof horse only because they are unpredictable animals with "fight or flight" in mind. We sell our horses as they are advertised. Any health or soundness issues will be brought to attention immediately. After the horse leaves our farm we can not guarantee soundness or health issues. Horses are liable to get injured in the trailer or pick up a sickness after it leaves the farm. Therefore we do not offer refunds. We would be more than happy to help you find a new home for your horse for a charge. We don't like to do trials, but in certain situations we will do this. In this situation we require insurance on the horse during the trial period, and a non-refundable 10% deposit. We highly recommend to insure your horse if it is purchased from us immediately. Videos are available on a limited basis and only through the internet. We will provide basic conformation pictures and trot pictures via e-mail. If you cannot make a decision off of the pictures we provide, you are more than welcome to make a visit. Please also understand that we may not always have current pictures because of inclement weather. Terms and Conditions We are always willing to work a purchase out on terms. A horse sold on terms has to have an insurance policy taken out on the horse for the rest of the balance and Derby Lyn Farms as the beneficiary. We will work out specific terms with everyone to help meet their needs. A deposit of 10% is required, and monthly payments due on the 1st of every month. All horses are sold with a contract provided by Derby Lyn Farms. If you have any further questions about our sales policies, please feel free to contact us at DerbyLynFarms@gmail.com. Thank You! |
